Make drinking water from Ice

Use Ice in the working Kettle Bobby to produce drinking water. An early kettle setup produces 3 bottles of water per processing cycle, making thirst easier to manage between trips to the train.

02

Keep an Ice reserve for oxygen

Save some unprocessed Ice before leaving on a longer trip. Turning the entire stack into drinking water solves thirst but leaves less Ice for oxygen equipment.

Purified Oxygen also consumes Ice: its recipe uses 2 Oxyworms, 1 Metal and 1 Ice. Keep that competing use in mind when deciding how much water to prepare.

Kettle Bobby and drinking water questions

How much water does an early kettle cycle produce?
The early setup produces 3 bottles of water from a processing cycle using Ice. Make drinking water when the kettle is working.
Should I turn all my Ice into water?
Keep some Ice unprocessed, especially before a longer trip. Drinking water competes with oxygen equipment for the same material.
