Triangulation: locate the jammer with three readings
Find three strong jamming readings to locate the interference source. The third reading lets the system plot the reverse jamming vectors and identify the structure containing the jammer.
Restore access to the jammer route
- Restore the facility's external power connection and work through the entrance system. Once communications return, the story supplies the access information.
- Recover the missing head, update the profile and use that identity to open the airlock doors.
- Follow the journal chain from Find the signal jammer to Fill the shuttle with alkaline solution, then Retrieve the jammer.
Fill the shuttle and retrieve the jammer
- Use the Sprayron on creatures around the marked burrows to collect the alkaline material.
- Return to the shuttle when you have enough material. Open the tank cap and fill the system.
- Start the cooling system. Opening the control panel begins the pump-out sequence and locks the airlock, so complete the manual airlock reactivation next.
- With cooling and the airlock restored, follow the shuttle route into the final jammer area.
- Clear the parasite sequence until the affected host exposes the signal jammer, then retrieve it.
- Complete the remaining activation: wait for the circular sensor's reading to stabilize and turn green, then strike it with the crowbar.
Jammer route troubleshooting
- Why does the third strong jamming reading matter?
- All three readings are needed to plot the reverse vectors. The third strong point lets the system identify the structure containing the interference source.
- When should I hit the circular sensor with the crowbar?
- Wait until its reading stabilizes and turns green. Swinging while the sensor is still moving adds noise to this timing step.
