Cut the blue tape on pipes
Electrical Tape is the blue material wrapped around pipes and obstacles. Use a Cutter on those taped sections to collect it; looking for the blue wrapping gives you a deliberate material source.
Make the Cutter before collecting Tape
- Gather 4 Aluminum, 2 Plastic and 4 Metal for the Cutter. Its recipe is unlocked by default.
- Craft the Cutter, then scan nearby pipes, machinery and obstacles for blue taped sections.
- Cut the wrapping with the Cutter and collect the Electrical Tape. Continue checking taped pipes when a craft needs more.
Spotting an Electrical Tape source

- Search for taped pipes and machinery instead. Once you recognize the blue wrapping and have a Cutter, you can target those sections rather than relying on a lucky container.
